When we try to control, we lose control
In our lives, we have so much of likes and dislikes.
We have so much of desires too – desire to control the event, desire to change the other person etc.
Why there is always disharmony in us?
It is because we always have the desire to control or change other person.
There is desire for approval too.
We are leading our lives for the sake of others.
Even though we are fully secured, we want to save money. There is no limit for needs and desires.
If I like I will move with that person and if I do not like that person I will move away from him.
Whatever event comes to me then I decide that it should happen in a certain way and try to frame that event.
I always resist what is given to me.
I am afraid that I will be joyful and happy
Can we be without these desires?
Whatever the course the life takes let it take.
Can I watch my life myself like I watch the waves of the sea? Why I am not able to do this?
What is preventing me from observing my own life?
Because I fear that I may get back joy and innocence. Whatever the joy and innocence I had when I was five years old, I fear that I might get that back.
Though we are seekers of joy and happiness, we are not the seekers of innocence.
Is it possible to get childlike happiness?
For that there is a mantra. That is NAMASHIVAYAM.
This should be chanted in sets of five.
As I chant this mantra continuously all my desires turn into ashes.
The fear of death or the feeling of insecurity will go off.
I will come to know that I am nothing but Shiva, the ever-happy person.
Shiva means Mangalam, the person who is truly happy.
Last Shardiya Navratri, (Oct 2011) after going through your blog accidentally, I started reciting Namashivayam and have at least stopped indulging in loans though the business remains precarious.
Thank you for the mantra Namashivayam.
I was doing Om Namashivaya every Shravana about a Lakh or so + Hawan et al) and otherwise too.
But Namashivayam seems to have unlocked a few blockages. My meditation is better. I am in a smiling mode despite the surrounding ruins and remain generally hopeful.
Personally, I have done Vedic Sadhanas of 1.25 Lakh count, tarpan, marjan and Homam of various mantras including Om Namashivaya (during Shravana).
Yet, the Namashivayam brought in speedy movements and overall well-being, more on my mental and physical strength to cope with adversities. And I am amazed too, at the simple remedial measures.
What is the difference between Namashivaya and Namashivayam?
Is it Namashivaya or Namashivayam? What is difference between both?
When you chant NAMASHIVAYAM, it activates your right brain, the part of the brain that stores memories in images only. The connection to the Divine immediately happens. Right inspiration will happen as per the words.
In all the mantras I suggested, “M” is added.

After chanting “THIRUNEELAKNATAM” min. of 200 times a day for the past 3 months or so, my husband has decreased the no. of times using Pan Parag packets. I am still continuing it.
VALLABHAM GAJANANAM EKA THANDHEM
At the same time, “VALLABHAM GAJANANAM EKA THANDHEM” has become my first mantra in the morning as I am working professional. The TIME literally stands still. This is really gorgeous.
I have also asked my sister to do this and she has also faced the same. Apart from this, I wrote this mantra and put it under the sleeping bed. It has taken care of my health, my husband’s health immensely.
HARE RAMA HARE KRISHNA
It has solved multiple problems. My spiritual connection has increased. I have changed my attitude, my behavior with lot of calmness, patience, feeling safe and secure. Also, I have written the mantra and kept it under my bed.
I have no worries, and no fear – almost to ZERO.
Though I am still not able to forgive one person in my life, I have seen lot of changes within myself.
Naran, I know no bounds to the happiness that you have showered on the “MANKIND” on this earth. Hope, we have more and more classes conducted all around the world so that more and more people get to know about it and start working towards it.
Thanks is the only word we can give you n PRAY for long life for you and Shobana madam.
Shivohum means, ‘I am Siva’. I am that.
Our Decision Making Process is Poor
Whenever we need to take a decision, we have to know the positive side or negative side of it. Our decisions are imperfect, any decision for that matter, because we are limited by our own perception.
We know only two sides of the coin – right or wrong, positive or negative, and good or bad. However, a decision has to be tuned with the divine will. Unfortunately, we take our decisions unconsciously. But, we are lucky enough to take the right decisions sometimes.
Tuning with the Divine Will
Is there anything that will tune me to the divine will and give me the power of discrimination (Vivekam)? Is there a way, through which I can take decisions as per divine will or plan. The Shivohum mantra can help you in this regard.
Shiva means Mangalam. The one word that produces happiness in you is Shiva. By repeating that one can be happy, for the word Shiva produces happiness. How? Then, I become Shiva or an embodiment of Shiva.
Thinking like Divine
In the normal life, think, “Why not I become like divine? Why not I think like a divine?” If you think like divine, your life would be alright.
The Shivohum will keep you align with divinity.
Benefits of chanting Shivohum
The mantra gives you the state of happiness, so whatever you do will produce happiness.
HUM activates the throat chakra and thyroid. Our throat chakra can be energised and balanced.
HUM activates thyroid and purifies it, which is responsible for detoxification of the body. If any mental impurities are there, Hum will release it. Then you take the decision.
Shivohum activates the third eye chakra or higher perception. It’s the third eye, which is responsible for wisdom. However, we can’t directly activate our third eye. We have to release the impurities first.
Chanting of this mantra achieves both.
Namashivaya means happiness. When you are worried, sad or distressed, then healing will not take place. We have to shift our mind to a state of happiness, for healing to take place in our lives. Instead, if we worry about our (life) situations, then healing doesn’t happen.
We can say, “Change yourself”, but that change will not happen easily, unless you shift your state of mind. However, when you chant Namashivayam, then your worry state will shift to a happy state of mind.
Please note here that you don’t need to add Om to the chanting (like Om Namashivayam) as OM is inside Namashivayam.
To remain happy, to always be able to overcome trials and tribulations, and to be an achiever, chant the mantra, “Hari Narayana” Mantra. I added HO in the end of this mantra, as it is the switch word for happiness. Combined with this mantra, happiness will be for ever with and thus this mantra gets complete.
